For Backpackers
- Budd’s backpackers is in an amazing location its only 100m from Budd’s Beach which is a great place for the sunset and 200m from Surfers paradise beach. It’s roughly a 5-minute walk to the city centre and public transport. The rooms are basic, but the hostel has a bar and runs nightly activities. They also have a pool onsite which makes it super easy to meet other travellers. I stayed here for two nights and I almost postponed the next leg of my trip to stay here longer. The staff were great and gave recommendations of things to do in the area and they also have bikes and surfboards available for hire from reception. 10/10 would recommend it.
- Bunk Hostel is also centrally located and only 100m from the beach. The bunks are a unique setup so that it doesn’t feel as though you have someone sleeping on top/below you and they are only accessible from one side. The hostel isn’t as social as Budds as they don’t have an onsite bar but there is a bar next door which offers discounts to travellers staying at BUNK.
